Detachment 3 will be at Winter NAMM this year, both on Thursday the 17th and Friday the 18th. While we were originally planning to attend with Suit & Tie Guy of STG Soundlabs, issues back at STG HQ have prevented him from making the trek out. Give us a ring to meet, or drop by the Analogue Haven booth (level 2, booth 210-2) to check out the Frac Rack series of STG modules.
30 June, 2007 Join Det3 at the Seattle Mind Camp
Detachment 3 Engineering will be attending the Seattle Mind Camp on July 1. This is a bi-annual event in which creative people from all over the Puget Sound region descend on an unsuspecting conference center and discuss whatever is on their mind. No plans, no schedules (other than entering and exiting), and 12 to 24 hours of brainstorming mayhem. Come join us there as we hang with some of the most talented minds in Seattle!
27 June, 2007 More STG Soundlabs designs: Post-Lawsuit Lowpass Filter and Rev2 Gate Delay
In continuing partnership with STG Soundlabs, Det3 Engineering has completed a new layout for the STG Soundlabs Post-Lawsuit Lowpass Filter, also based on Yves Usson's adaptation of the ARP 4072 VCF. Our adaptation provides the ability to use matched transistors as well as the THAT-300 series of matched transistor pairs, plus the Det3 and STG soundlabs trademark AnyFrame™ backplane. We've also expanded the Dual Gate Delay with AnyFrame to allow the boards to be used with MOTM, Dotcom, and now Eurorack systems. So, surf on over to STG Soundlabs and pick up a few of these modules!
20 December, 2006 STG Soundlabs Gate Delay Released
Our first collaboration with STG Soundlabs is a
success! We are proud to announce the Yves Usson
Gate Delay module, enhanced with a new gate slave function. These are currently available from STG Soundlabs.
Detachment 3 performed additional systems design as well as an entirely new board layout for the delay module, fitting the entire module circuitry into a 2" x 3" two layer PCB. The board itself has both Dotcom and MOTM power harnesses. Keep an eye out for more modules from STG Soundlabs and Detachment 3 Engineering, we have a lot more on the drawing board.
14 April, 2006 Engineering Section Complete
Detachment 3's engineering tab on the web site is now complete. We will be bringing up the Det3 Laboratories site next, and then our studio and portfolio page soon thereafter. We'd have it all done by now, but that would take us away from engineering and recording for our customers!
02 April, 2006 AudioSpartan project officially launched
While it has been on the drawing board for two years, we've seen some interest in the AudioSpartan project building over the past months. This is a Spartan-3 based development board similar to the FES2 evaluation board, but targeted specifically for digital audio systems development. The AudioSpartan page is located here.
